Foreign Film evening: 1935 film "La Kermesse Héroïque"

This splendidly entertaining film is set in the early 1600s when a Spanish occupying force arrives in a small Flemish village. The cowardly males seek cover and the women take over. It was the best foreign film in 1935 and is shown with English subtitles.
