When I needed a neighbour….
Hathaway Christmas Lights (22 Winterberry Way, BN17) is once again bringing a wonderful light display to brighten up the dark winter nights.
A mere 53,008 pixel bulbs have been pushed into the props, then sequenced and set to music so that the lights dance in time to the tunes.
Whilst this is all done by Mel, he would not be able to get such a large display up without the use of scaffolding, which has been supplied free of charge, by Richard Plank of P&O Scaffolding, Littlehampton, who were happy to offer their services for free, to help bring smiles to all who come to see the display.
Mel puts on the light display for the benefit of everyone, asking nothing for himself. Hathaway Christmas Lights like to donate any money given to a local charity, and have teamed up once again with Littlehampton Lifeboats; a truly worthwhile organisation who rely purely on donations to carry out their often life-saving work.
What a wonderful neighbourhood collaboration - a reminder, that if we work together, we can create something beautiful. As the light display shines in the darkness, so may the neighbourly love spread amongst us all.
Please come and visit Hathaway Christmas Lights this year; switch on will be Tuesday 1st December and will run each evening 4.30– 8.00 pm, until Friday 25th December.
