Le Canal du Midi - à vélo

Our speaker tonight cycled along the Canal du Midi which stretches 240 km from Séte on the Mediterranean coast to Toulouse.  Built in the reign of Louis XIV it is a remarkable work of engineering and now a UNESCO world heritage site.  We are a friendly group of Francophiles who meet every second Tuesday of the month. All levels of French are welcome and there will be visuals to help. Chat and social starts at 7.15 with the talk starting at 7.30.  Visitors (£5 a visit).  Venez nombreux!
