Mufasa: The Lion King

Ferring Community Cinema will be showing their next film, ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ on Friday 5th December 2025.

 

Produced by Walt Disney Pictures, this musical drama is both a prequel and sequel to the 1994 classic The Lion King. 

 

Rafiki tells Simba and Nala’s cub, Kiara (voiced by Blue Ivy Carter), the history of Mufasa, how, when lost and alone, he met a kind lion named Taka, the heir to a royal bloodline.  The chance meeting sets in motion a journey of a group of misfits searching for their destiny.

 

The animation and voice acting are described as ‘top-notch’, and the landscapes of Africa are brought to life in stunning detail. With lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, we’re expecting the film to get the Christmas festivities off to a toe-tapping start! That and the mulled wine!

 

Tickets are £6 and available at the North Ferring Co-Op, the Premier Stores in South Ferring, and on the door on the night. Ticket price includes mulled wine, tea, coffee or a soft drink, and mince pies and biscuits.  Doors open at 6.30pm for a prompt 7pm start.
