Our talk this month is by Tessa Boase — Fashion, Feathers and Fury. The fascinating story of Etta Lemon, one of the greatest unsung figures of the nature conservation movement and founder of the RSPB. We learn about Etta Lemon, a heroine for our times. She campaigned against the worldwide slaughter of birds for use in decorating extravagantly feathered hats for Victorian ladies.
