Our last talk before Christmas is appropriately about ' The Art of Intoxification' by Ian Swankie, one of our regular speakers and always very entertaining!
Since the early Romans and Greeks, alcohol has been an important subject for artists. We examine the way drink and drinking are depicted, the social messages portrayed, the happy and unhappy consequences, and how alcohol affected the lives of many artists and friends.
Doors open 9.30am. Everyone welcome. Guests £7 on the door. Coffee & biscuits available and followed by FESTIVE DRINKS & MINCE PIES
Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month.
