Along the Channel coast people work in a variety of occupations, some new and some of an historic nature; fishermen, harbour teams, boatbuilders, holiday camp entertainers and … smugglers! This talk by Geoffrey Mead looks at the diversity of the shoreline workforce, past and present.
Entry free for Preservation Society members.
Visitors £3 payable at the door (cash only - sorry, we are unable to take card payments). All admissions subject to availability of seats on arrival.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS TALK REPLACES THE ONE PREVIOUSLY ADVERTISED - "Deck the Halls - What the Victorians did for us at Christmas" - as the speaker is unable to attend.
