Our historic archaeological heritage, both above and below ground level, is a finite and valuable resource that is subject to natural and human agencies of destruction. This talk will examine some of the main threats involved, which range from climate change, coastal erosion, storm damage and tree roots, to plough damage, quarrying, building developments, road construction, warfare, tourism, illicit and unrecorded metal detecting, and even ... some archaeologists.
