Perched along the ridges of the South Downs National Park, Worthing Golf Club’s Vardon Course enjoys panoramic views of the Sussex coastline from Beachy Head to the Isle of Wight.
The event format will be a Scramble with Shotgun Start, and additional competitions include ‘Nearest the pin’, ‘Nearest the Pin in Two’, and ‘Bottle Putting Challenge’.
Teams of up to four are invited to take part at just £85 per player for the 18 holes plus two-course lunch and refreshments on arrival – (£50pp for Worthing Golf Club members), a saving of almost £30 on usual green fees for the Vardon course. If you don’t have a team of 4, tell us how many players you do have, and we will create teams of 4.
Additional Competition Bundles consisting of one Mulligan, entry into one Nearest the Pin and the Bottle Putting Challenge, plus a strip of five raffle tickets can be purchased for £20.
What’s included in the day:
- Tea/coffee and bacon roll on arrival
- 18 holes on the Club’s Vardon Course – with shotgun start
- Soft drinks and snacks available to purchase out on the course
- Two-course lunch in the Club House following the competition
- Prize giving, charity auction and raffle
Planned timings:
- 8am arrival for tea/coffee & bacon roll and registration
- 9am shotgun start for 18 holes (if numbers don’t allow a shotgun start, then tee off times will be eight minutes apart)
- Two-course meal afterwards at approx. 2.15/2.30pm
- Presentations to follow the meal
- Event to finish at around 4pm
